Being able to predict how the Influenza virus mutates would mean we could one step ahead of it at all times, we would be able to make 100% effective vaccines for every strain. We would wipe out Influenza. It is the ultimate goal, the last step. It is, however, probably the hardest and furthest away of our options but as we study and learn more about the virus the closer we get to this stage. Maybe a computer could go through all the possible mutations from past knowledge and information and predict what strain will mutate next. If we could achieve this then we would put an end to Influenza pandemics.

The end?
No. The best is still to come...
